New Alloy Turns Waste Heat Into Electricity for Free | ExtremeTech

Extreme Tech reports on an alloy that generates “free energy” from heat.  When the alloy heats up, it’s magnetic field changes drastically which can be used to generate electricity.  Of course, it cannot break laws of thermodynamics either.

Using a multiferroic alloy of nickel, cobalt, manganese, and tin, researchers at the University of Minnesota have discovered a method of creating green electricity from waste heat sources.
